Prill Urea

​

  • It is a white colored, prill granules, odourless, water-soluble fertilizer. 

  • The size usually between  1 up to 2/4 mm

  • Urea is mainly used as fertilizer, and also used as industrial materials in synthetic industry and other fields, such as medicine, dye, textile, detonator, oil refining and printing

  • It has a direct effect on plants as a source of plant nutrients and ensures that quality and abundant products are obtained.

  • It has less corrosive effect on agricultural tools.

  • Urea fertilizer can be applied to the soil in various ways, as well as into irrigation water or by spraying.

  • Urea fertilizer should not be applied close to seeds and roots. 

  • When used as top fertilizer; Since there will be loss of nitrogen in the remaining urea on the soil surface, it should be buried under the soil with light tillage

  • As a nitrogen-rich fertilizer. Prilled urea is also known as ice melt urea or de-icer urea.

 


Industrial Use

 

  • As a raw material for the manufacture of plastics specifically, urea-formaldehyde resin. 

  • As a raw material for the manufacture of various glues (urea-formaldehyde or urea-melamine-formaldehyde). The latter is waterproof and is used for marine plywood.

  • As an alternative to rock salt in the deicing of roadways and runways. It does not promote metal corrosion to the extent that salt does.

  • As an additive ingredient in cigarettes, designed to enhance flavour.

  • Sometimes used as a browning agent in factory-produced pretzels.

  • As an ingredient in some hair conditioners, facial cleansers, bath oils and lotions.

  • It is also used as a reactant in some ready-to-use cold compresses for first-aid use, due to the endohermic reaction it creates when mixed with water.

  • Active ingredient for diesel engine exhaust treatment AdBlue and some other SCR systems.

  • Used, along with salts, as a cloud seeding agent to expedite the condensation of water in clouds, producing precipitation.

  • As a flame-proofing agent.

Storage and Considerations

 

  • Keep away from heat and fire sources.

  • Do not smoke in the warehouse area.

  • Keep fertilizer out of direct sunlight to prevent physical deterioration.

  • Better to Stack the packaged fertilizers in piles to cut off direct contact with the ground when stacking.

  • Store in dry and well-ventilated warehouses. Do not store fertilizer in a humid environment.

  • Keep away from heat and fire sources.

  • Use gloves when the fertilizer will come into contact with the hand for a long time

  • No more than one big bag on top of another for storage

  • Bulk storage separately from other fertilisers
